Cellular Service Monitoring

In partnership with various universities across the US, CGTC has been monitoring cellular service across space and time. Our team has been collecting data across all three major islands to observe and quantify the quality of cellular service across the Territory.

This is an effort led primarily by our undergraduate students with the oversight of our Team. The study is conducted by having phones under 3 different cellular companies present as we go around the Territory, especially in frequented, populous areas. The students develop various skills that will benefit them in the future while being part of a national network of researchers.
