HMRP Resilience in Action: Perspectives on City and Community Resilience

We have all recognized the importance of building resilience in territory in order to withstand, and quickly rebound from, disasters. Now, we must figure out how to make resilience a reality.

Both of our guest speakers were former Chief Resilience Officers of Dominica (Pep) and Boston (Atyia). They have first-hand experience in operationalizing resilience in government agencies so that both places could be in a better position to handle shocks and stressors. Their experience will give us great insight on to what is required to "achieve" resilience, and what barriers need to be overcome.
